With 0.0 knots of wind, even a Dragonfly Trimaran has to admit defeat. 😄 Sailing is only so much fun without any breeze, so I decided to use the opportunity to visit some of my berth neighbours and maintain a few local connections here in Portopiccolo.
Since I have no guests on board today, I was invited aboard my neighbour’s impressive Dominator 65 – a classic Italian motor yacht with plenty of style and elegance.
The shipyard was founded by former Formula One drivers, so speed seems to be part of its DNA as well. 🏎️🚤
I have to admit, though: at almost 20 metres in length, she offers a little more living space than my Dragonfly 28 Sport. And with a top speed of around 30 knots, she also has a slight advantage when it comes to outright speed. 😄
Against the stunning backdrop of Portopiccolo, even a windless day can be enjoyed. And who knows – perhaps the afternoon sea breeze will still arrive and get us moving again. 🌬️⛵
