I’m out sailing solo today, enjoying a beautiful afternoon sea breeze of around 8–10 knots. The Dragonfly is happily cruising along at about 8 knots – the perfect conditions for relaxed summer sailing.
On the horizon, hundreds of boats are anchored off the mouth of the Isonzo River. It’s easy to see why: sandy seabed, shallow crystal-clear water, a well-protected anchorage, and a refreshing cool breeze make this one of the locals’ favorite places to spend a sunny day.
On a Sunday afternoon like today, it’s naturally buzzing with activity – and the atmosphere really does feel a little bit like the Caribbean. 🌊☀️
